Installation

A guide for installing the Tebex theme.

1. Find your download file

• Find the downloaded file from BuiltByBit, Polymart, or McModels on your computer.

2. Unzip the downloaded file

• The server theme comes in a zipped package that must be extracted to access the theme files.

3. Creating a template

• Go to the Tebex templates page.

• Scroll down and press: Create Custom Template

• Give it a name to your liking, we will be naming it Allay Theme for ease of use.

• Select Exo as the base template.

• You are done now press the blue create button.

4. Pasting in the template files

• You are now on the templates editor page, do not close this. (If you are not in the editor go to the Tebex appearance page, and select the template you want to edit, this will redirect you to the settings page where you press the Launch editor button)

• Open the extracted template files with Visual Code Studio or a text editor.

• we start copying and pasting the code to the Tebex template editor use the following keyboard shortcuts to speed up this process. (Cntrl A, Cntrl C, Cntrl A, Cntrl V, Cntrl S)

Make sure you paste the file's code entirely and in the correct destination. This can be done by comparing the names of the files names and using the Cntrl A function.

Not pressing save after pasting each file will put that template section in its default form. Resulting in the theme not working for these sections.

Not all Text editors open the files correctly, which is why we recommend the use of Visual Code Studio. (A free coding application)

5. Uploading the assets

• Still inside the Template Editor, scroll down to Assets, on the left sidebar.

• Click blue "Add", Select Asset Type -> TWIG/CSS/JAVASCRIPT -> Upload -> Find and select the asset file. (Repeat this step for all files inside of the assets folder)

Make sure you sellect the correct format for each file.

6. Save and Publish

• Press save and publish in the top right corner.
